"Here are the syringes you wanted."
The merchant shop owner pushed a palm-length wooden box across the table to Tang An, containing two medical syringes inside.
"Thanks, though I'm completely out of gold coins now. My entire fortune belongs to you."
Opening the box to look at the syringes inside, Tang An put them away.
"I heard the Commander of the Survey Corps, Erwin, invited you to join them?"
The owner shook his head. The two syringes weren't worth all that much; what surprised him more was that Tang An actually intended to join the Survey Corps.
"It was an offer too gracious to refuse. To me, there isn't all that much difference between the Garrison Regiment and the Survey Corps."
Tang An shrugged. If his timeline was correct, the Colossal Titan was about to kick down Wall Rose today.
Time had passed quickly. He had been in this world for three months now, spending two months and twenty days mastering Shave and Moonwalk, followed by another ten days learning the Vertical Maneuvering Equipment.
His life countdown had officially entered its final seven days.
Furthermore, at 12:00 midnight tonight, he would receive the dice roll reward for his third natural month.
"Right, considering we have a bit of rapport, I advise you to head to Wall Sheena immediately."
Tucking the two syringes into his tunic, Tang An adjusted the Vertical Maneuvering Equipment around his waist and, after a moment of thought, decided to warn the man.
He might still find this fellow useful later on.
"What do you mean?"
The owner was taken aback.
"I've already warned you. Whether you believe it or not is up to you."
Tang An shrugged, waved his hand, and walked away.
Most of the Survey Corps had already gone out to investigate Wall Maria, so Tang An couldn't be bothered to report in just yet.
If time permitted, he planned to head back, get a good night's sleep, and build up his energy. Things might get a bit busy soon enough.
Watching Tang An's retreating figure vanish from sight, the owner frowned in deep thought.
"Yatel, pack our things and get ready to head to Wall Sheena."
Having built his trading company into one of the top ten in the Eldian Empire, the owner's vision was clearly far superior to that of an ordinary man.
"Boss?"
Yatel was completely bewildered.
"Go make preparations."
The owner pinched his chin thoughtfully. As it happened, he had some business to take care of in Wall Sheena anyway.
"Yes."
Meanwhile, Tang An returned to his lodgings near the wall, where the merchant shop owner had let him stay for another half a month free of charge.
After taking a bath in the river while wearing his stretchy boxer shorts, Tang An went back to his room, lay down on the bed, and carefully sorted through the upcoming plot developments.
Today, the Colossal Titan would kick through Wall Rose, though Tang An didn't know the exact time.
After that, Eren would be swallowed by a bearded old man titan while trying to save Armin, only to transform into the Attack Titan from within.
Once he took down a few titans, he would be cornered against the wall by a Garrison Regiment captain and nearly blown to pieces by artillery fire.
Finally, upon the orders of the Garrison Regiment's commander-in-chief, Armin would step forward with a proposal: have Eren use a massive boulder to plug the outer gate of Wall Rose.
Following that, Survey Corps members Erwin and Levi would return, and Eren's trial would commence. After enduring a vicious beating from Levi, Eren would officially be assigned to the Survey Corps.
Then, several supporting characters from the 104th Training Corps would begin joining the Survey Corps.
With Eren in their ranks, the Survey Corps would launch the 57th exterior scout mission. During this time, Erwin would suspect that there was a traitor among them capable of transforming into an intelligent titan, setting a trap to lure out the Female Titan with the intention of capturing her alive in the Giant Tree Forest.
After a session of mutual combat and psychological warfare, the Female Titan would almost be captured, but unfortunately, she would not only break free but also nearly kill Eren. If not for Levi's overwhelming display of power and Mikasa's intervention, Eren probably would have been carried away.
Upon returning to Wall Rose, Armin would deduce that Annie was the Female Titan, leading to another round of brutal conflict. This time, Eren would once again be beaten to a pulp, though he would ultimately defeat Annie with Mikasa's help.
Regrettably, hesitation at the very end would allow Annie to encase herself in crystal hardening.
That covered the contents of the first season.
Next came the second season, where the Beast Titan would use its spinal fluid to turn the people of Connie's hometown into Pure Titans. Ymir would expose her identity as the Jaw Titan to protect Krista, the true royal bloodline, and Reiner would suffer a mental breakdown on the wall, blurting out that he was the Armored Titan, alongside Bertholdt being the Colossal Titan.
Both sides would engage in yet another brutal clash.
As a result, Eren would crash and burn once more, getting carried off by Reiner.
After that came Erwin leading the troops to retrieve Eren, everyone continuing to fight and kill each other, Mikasa seizing the chance to confess her feelings, and Hannes--who was like family to Eren--getting killed by the very titan that ate Eren's mother. Following a roar of fury, Eren would awaken the Founding Titan's Coordinate power.
That was the content of the second season.
As for the third season, it involved intra-wall politics, Armin consuming Bertholdt to inherit the Colossal Titan, and discovering a portion of the world's true history.
And then there was nothing more after that; subsequent events supposedly took place within the Marley Empire. Tang An hadn't read the manga, so he wasn't entirely clear on the details.
Still, it didn't really matter.
Because as far as Tang An was concerned, the second and third seasons wouldn't even be necessary. He planned to consume all the intelligent titans during the first season and bring about a grand finale.
That was just how self-willed a transmigrator could be.
Even so, Tang An didn't lower his guard.
Instead, he re-read the continuous quest within his useless cheat system several times over.
Hunting Children of Destiny, Mandate Villains, Transmigrators, Reincarnators, or Returners yielded +4 dice rolls. Important supporting characters or villainous supporting characters yielded dice rolls depending on the circumstances, along with random stat bonuses to luck.
In the One Piece world, he had initially estimated that Enel was a fellow transmigrator.
He hadn't had the chance to confirm any reincarnators or returners; they might have existed, or they might not have.
This meant that there could very well be transmigrators, reincarnators, or returners hidden within Attack on Titan as well--and every single one of them would be a cheat-user.
Their cheats might even turn out to be more formidable than his own garbage system. His primary concern wasn't figuring out how to kill them, but rather finding a way not to get killed by them first.
At least, not unless he was completely certain of victory.
This wasn't Tang An selling himself short or boosting his enemies' morale; who knew what kind of cheats those transmigrators, reincarnators, or returners possessed?
If it turned out to be one of those overpowered cheats that made them invincible right from the start, there wouldn't even be any point in playing the game.
Nowadays, all sorts of bizarre cheats emerged endlessly, and it all came down to whose was higher-end and more prestigious. Tang An truly lacked confidence in his own pathetic cheat.
Reincarnators, on the other hand, were relatively easier to understand--they were essentially people from spaces like the Main God Dimension whose cheats involved executing the Main God's missions and trading for exchange points to acquire immense power.
Tang An had been paying attention lately, but he hadn't spotted anyone suspicious.
Following the usual tropes of web novels, whether someone was a transmigrator or a reincarnator, carrying out missions would inevitably involve the Children of Destiny of the local world. Yet, over the past few days, he hadn't noticed anything abnormal about the people around Eren.
Even though none had shown up yet, Tang An still wouldn't lower his guard.
There were simply too many transmigrators these days, making it tough for anyone to get by unless they had a high-end cheat.
Pushing those thoughts out of his mind, Tang An decided on his next objective.
The Female Titan would be relatively easy to get his hands on, as she would be severely injured by Levi in the Giant Tree Forest.
If he weren't worried about losing consciousness while transformed into a Pure Titan, Tang An would have already set his sights on the Armored Titan, the Colossal Titan, or the Attack and Founding Titan.
The moment one turned into a Pure Titan meant putting one's life in constant peril.
Any ordinary survey soldier using Vertical Maneuvering Equipment could take his life.
Therefore, to ensure absolute safety, he would first devour the Female Titan to become an intelligent titan before going after the others.
Tang An certainly wouldn't underestimate the people of this world.
Having locked onto his target, Tang An reviewed the items he had obtained from rolling the dice a total of 17 times since transmigrating; it was a jumble of all sorts of random things.
After that, he watched an online card-dealing advertisement ten times over, and then relished watching a movie starring Arima once more. Even though he had grown tired of it all, it still made for a quite pleasant nostalgic pastime.
