Chapter 7: An AV featuring Yuma
As the Kingdom of Goa grew smaller in the distance, Tang An leaned against the ship's railing, holding a Type 92 semi-automatic pistol in his hand and keeping a watchful eye on Raphael, the helmsman, every now and then.
Based on his observations over the past two to three days, Raphael was a timid and cowardly man.
His build wasn't particularly muscular either, though compared to Tang An's frail and skinny one-meter-sixty-nine frame, he still fell into the sturdier category.
Even knowing that the man was timid and cowardly, Tang An still did not let his guard down.
He would never underestimate anyone, especially not in this morbid world.
Only now did Tang An finally have the time to check his useless gold-finger cheat.
A line of explanation had appeared on it at some point.
"Successfully hunted Portgas D. Ace, an important supporting character in the One Piece world. Depending on the circumstances, dice rolls have been awarded. Congratulations on obtaining three chances, Luck +1."
"Huh?"
After reading the explanation on the light screen, Tang An frowned slightly.
He read it a few more times, and when he confirmed that it only mentioned killing the important supporting character Ace, Tang An's expression completely collapsed.
What about Monkey D. Luffy?
Could it be that he wasn't dead?
Or did the useless gold-finger deliberately conceal it and omit the report?
Tang An was completely certain that whether it was Ace or Luffy, he had stabbed straight into their hearts. Could it be that Luffy was younger and his physical development wasn't as advanced as Ace's? So his heart wasn't as big? Did the blade miss by just a tiny bit?
Or was it because of his rubber body?
"Damn it."
Tang An's expression was grim. Turning back now to deliver a finishing blow would simply be like lighting a lantern in a latrine--looking for death.
The duck that was already cooked and ready to eat had actually flown away.
If he had been just a little more cautious back then and landed one more stab, he wouldn't be missing out like this now.
This served as a reminder to Tang An that next time, he must stab a few more times.
"Dice rolls are awarded depending on the circumstances. Portgas D. Ace was a crucial supporting character, so why were only three chances awarded?
What specific data was this calculated based on? And as for the part about depending on the circumstances, what is that circumstance based on?"
Tang An's questioning received no answer.
This meant that if the useless gold-finger was manipulating things behind the scenes, he had no way of knowing.
What a piece of trash.
His mood plummeted to the absolute bottom in an instant, and Tang An began rolling the dice.
The fist-sized die began bouncing around, finally coming to a stop under Tang An's silent command.
The number rolled was two.
The model airplane began to take off, eventually landing on the second blank space.
"Do you wish to use your Luck value?"
A line of narration appeared on the light screen.
"Huh?"
Could this Luck +1 be a one-time consumable? Could it only provide a bonus once?
"No."
Suppressing his terrible mood, which was already worsening like frost on snow, Tang An chose not to use it. He had a feeling that the number two could not possibly bring him good luck.
It was just an intuition.
A familiar glow filled the entire light screen, and once it faded, the item appeared.
At that moment, Tang An was thrilled.
"Primary Military Combat Technique. Do you wish to learn?"
A book floated over the blank square, with the prominent characters for "Primary Military Combat Technique" written across it.
"A skill-type item?"
This useless gold-finger didn't seem quite so simple; it apparently contained all sorts of random things.
"Learn."
Before he knew it, Tang An's body began convulsing like someone having an epileptic seizure. Accompanied by one final shudder, a wealth of information and techniques regarding military combat techniques appeared in his mind.
It was a form of combat specifically designed for killing.
The target areas were never anything other than the eyes, throat, or groin, with a single objective: to deprive the enemy of their ability to fight back in the shortest time possible or to kill them outright.
It also included various methods of physical conditioning and body training.
This was precisely what Tang An needed most right now.
"Finally, a good thing."
Tang An was somewhat excited, and couldn't help casting a glance at Raphael. Right now, he had at least ten different ways to make the man's life a living hell.
However, the "Primary" in Primary Military Combat Technique was a bit interesting, especially that word.
Without needing to guess, there definitely had to be Intermediate, Advanced, and so on...
Moreover, this skill wasn't mastered the moment it was acquired, meaning Tang An had only obtained the knowledge and leverage techniques; if he wanted to use them proficiently, he still had to train and develop them bit by bit himself.
His previously excited mood instantly went cold again.
This was equivalent to a secret manual that still required him to cultivate it himself, rather than directly achieving ultimate mastery of a divine martial art.
Damn it.
What a piece of trash.
"Roll the dice."
Suppressing the restless heat in his heart, Tang An began rolling the dice for the second time.
His luck was quite good this time, with the die settling on six.
Wait, although the number six sounded very auspicious, recalling the last time he rolled a six--the sexy... dealer... dealing... cards online...
Tang An's lips twitched slightly, and his mood began to grow agitated.
"Do you wish to use your Luck value?"
The choice appeared once more.
After a brief hesitation, Tang An chose to use it.
"Random Transmigration +1. Do you wish to transmigrate?"
"Description: You may transmigrate to other worlds at any time. Please use with caution."
Tang An wasn't as excited as he had imagined; instead, he frowned in deep thought.
Judging by the words "transmigration," he had accidentally hit the jackpot.
However, he did not want to transmigrate right now, because the One Piece world held many things he desired.
For example, Devil Fruits, the three types of Haki, and so on.
There were also targets like the Child of Destiny and fellow transmigrators.
This world also offered a much better opportunity to cure his cancer.
Furthermore, this description required careful analysis; the useless gold-finger had actually told him to use it with caution.
A random transmigration clearly meant there was a possibility of ending up in a world of demons and monsters, or perhaps a completely mundane world.
But regardless of whether it was the former or the latter, neither would be as worthwhile as the current One Piece world.
If it were a world of the former type, he would possess zero self-preservation capability.
As for the latter, while it would be safe, opportunities to grow stronger would clearly be very scarce.
In this life, he had to take control of his own destiny and must never live as miserably as he did in his past life.
Staying in the One Piece world was undoubtedly the best choice, because there were many ways to grow stronger.
Still, the fact that even transmigration could be drawn proved that this useless gold-finger was truly powerful.
This Luck value had clearly played a major role as well.
Unfortunately, it was a one-time consumable.
"One chance remaining."
Setting the random transmigration option aside, Tang An rolled the dice once more.
The face of the die showed a three, and the model airplane flew past with a rumbling sound.
It was the familiar glow once again.
"An.
AV.
featuring.
Yuma.
Do you wish to watch?"
Tang An took a deep breath. Despite being mentally prepared, his inner turmoil was complex, followed immediately by anger.
An AV featuring Yuma?
Even if it had no censorship, he wouldn't be this angry.
The most important part was that he had already sold his 60ml.
Going too far is as bad as not going far enough.
Closing the light screen, Tang An sat cross-legged on the deck and forced himself to calm down.
After subduing his emotions for about three minutes, he walked into the cabin.
On the other side, at the back of Mount Colbo in the Kingdom of Goa, a ship with a dragon figurehead at its bow was docked.
"Dragon, he's out of danger now. Where did you bring this kid back from?"
Inside the cabin, Ivankov sported an exceptionally massive dark purple afro, wore light blue eyeshadow and purple lipstick, and was outfitted in fishnet stockings, a cape, and a tight, ultra-low-cut one-piece bodysuit.
A complete freak.
"His name is Monkey D. Luffy, my son."
Looking at Luffy sleeping soundly on the ship, Dragon's gaze was somewhat terrifying.
If the blade had been off by just a tiny bit more, Luffy would have already been dead by the time he arrived.
Even Ivankov's healing hormones and Kuma's Pad Ho would have been useless.
"What?"
"Dragon's son?"
Many people in the cabin were startled.
"Now that you mention it, he does look a bit like you."
Ivankov pinched his wide chin.
"Then who is this child?"
Several people looked toward the bed next to them, where another child was lying--unfortunately, already dead.
Dragon didn't speak, merely looking thoughtful.
Luffy: I can still be saved! I still want to bounce through two more chapters!
No matter how beautiful the legs are, they're just cannon stands!
